60″ Preview Monitor
The monitor. An essential product for business presentations, including conventions, seminars and conferences. A screen is often placed on the edge of the stage or on the floor just in front of it. This provides the speaker with a tool on which he can check certain things during presenting. This makes presenting easy for the speaker and ensures that he does not have to turn around all the time to see what’s being displayed on the large screen in front of the audience.
Usually a viewing monitor is used to mirror whatever’s on the large audience screen. This allows the speaker to just keep looking in the direction of the audience and just steal a glance at the monitor now and again when needed- just to check whether what is being said still fits with the slide being shown.
Sometimes more than one viewing monitor is placed in front of or on stage. In this case, one viewing screen often mirrors the large screen. The other preview monitor often shows the notes or the next slide. This allows the speakers to mentally prepare and sneak a peek at what’s coming up.
Don't be misled by the name of this product- it has many more names. These include side view monitor, fold back monitor, comfort monitor, preview monitor or down stage monitor (DSM). These are all terms for the same product; the preview monitor.
Monitor size
This monitor screen is actually a 60" TV screen. This modern 60" 4K LED TV provides a crystal clear image quality. With an image diagonal of no less than 147 cm, this monitor provides sufficient visibility for larger stages of up to 32m2. With multiple screens on or in front of the stage, you could easily provide 6 to 8 speakers with their desired notes.
Are you organising a seminar or workshop with a smaller stage or fewer speakers? Then take a look at the smaller version of
this product with a 40’’ screen.
Controlling
This monitor has a number of HDMI inputs so that you can display your content. Since the tech directors of business events are often positioned at the back of the room, it is not possible to directly provide the down stage monitor with a signal. HDMI isn’t suitable for use over long distances. This means you’ll need to use
SDI cabling. This cabling is suitable for transporting such signals over longer distances. Using the right converter, you can
convert the video signal back to HDMI just before it reaches the monitor. Voilà, picture.
Accessories
A preview or comfort monitor is an essential item for a professional business presentation. However, there are more accessories you may want to think about when organising such an event. Have you already considered a
professional presentation clicker or a
countdown timer?
